As educators we have a responsibility to prepare our students for the world of work.

As part of our careers education students in Year 10 undertake a formal work experience placement for a week in the summer term. The aim of our work experience programme is to give students the opportunity to gain an insight into the world of work and an understanding of the skills and experience required by employers.

Year 8 students also get to experience the world of work when they partake in a work shadow day in the spring term.

Students are supported through the work experience process by Mrs C Jenkins, Careers Coordinator.
