At John F Kennedy Catholic school we are dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. As a community rooted in the principles of compassion and respect, we are committed to creating a secure environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. Our safeguarding policies are guided by both statutory requirements and our Catholic ethos, emphasising the dignity and worth of each individual.
The designated member of the Leadership Team responsible for child protection (DSL) is Mrs McKenzie. Supporting her are our additional safeguarding leads: Mrs Jevon, Mrs Bailey and Mr Palumbo. All staff have received key safeguarding training. The named governor overseeing all child protection procedures and practices within the school is Mrs Debra Gee.
We believe that safeguarding is a shared responsibility that involves everyone—students, parents, staff, and the wider community. This page provides essential information about our safeguarding measures, including our policies, procedures, and support services. We encourage open communication and collaboration, ensuring that concerns can be reported easily and addressed promptly. Together, we strive to foster a safe and nurturing environment that reflects our commitment to the welfare of every child entrusted to our care.
